Ms. Arouna Roshanian
Economic Development Expert
Ms. Arouna Roshanian was born in Iran in 1978 and grew up in Italy
since early age; her interest to the MENA region is based on both
personal and professional background, the latter since joining the OECD-MENA
Investment Programme in 2006 (and until 2009), working as a Policy
Analyst on Investment policy reforms and Responsible business in the
Private Sector Division. In this context, she conducted studies and
meetings across MENA countries, aimed at developing a regional network
for policy dialogue for enhancement of investment climate at regional
and domestic level. She also cooperated with relevant partner
institutions on the launch of the MENA Responsible Business Conduct
Forum.
Currently she lives and works in Jordan with UNDP-Iraq as Economic
Development Expert in the Private Sector Development Programme for Iraq,
a multiagency UN programme designed with Iraqi stakeholder (public and
private) and other international partners in an effort to create and
enable an effective, coherent, and comprehensive framework for private
sector development in Iraq.
Formerly, Ms. Roshanian worked with public and private organizations
such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Italy as Economic Advisor
on International Financial Relations, the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE),
UNIDO and TELECOM Italia S.p.a.
Ms. Roshanian holds a Master degree of II Level in European Studies and
Global Affairs (ASERI-School of Economics and International Relations,
University of Milan) and BA-Master I Level in Economics and Business
Administration (LUISS University of Rome).
