H.E. Dr. Maen Nsour
CEO - Jordan Investment Board

Dr. Maen Nsour is Chief Executive Officer of the Jordan Investment Board; a position that he has held since May 2005. The Jordan Investment Board is the institution entrusted by the government of the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan to attract foreign direct investments and enhance domestic investments in order to achieve economic prosperity in the Kingdom. Dr. Nsour sits on the board of Jordan Dubai Capital (JDC), Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation (JIEC), Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO). Dr. Nsour also teaches graduate courses, including a course on International Economics, at the Department of Business Economics, University of Jordan. Prior to his current position as CEO of the Jordan Investment Board Dr. Nsour was Senior Advisor at the Regional Bureau for Arab States, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York and Coordinator of the Arab Human Development Report 2003. During his tenure at the UNDP he was in charge of UNDP's projects and programs in the Arab region on knowledge economy, economic growth, and trade and investment. Before joining UNDP in 2001 Dr. Nsour was Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Planning in Amman, Jordan. Dr. Nsour taught at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. between 1993 and 1998. His area of university instruction was political economy and international trade and investment. Dr. Nsour was a researcher at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) in Washington, D.C. between 1995 and 1998, where his research revolved around economic statecraft, the Israeli economy, and economic cooperation. Dr. Nsour holds a Ph.D. from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA., USA. in public policy/ political economy.
