Mr. Fawaz Yousif Ghanem
Chairman & CEO - Ithmar Invest

Mr. Ghanem is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ithmar Invest PSC.

Prior to establishing Ithmar Invest in early 2007, Mr. Ghanem served as the Deputy CEO of Amwal Invest PLC. At Amwal Invest, Mr. Ghanem represented the company as a member of the board of directors of Arab Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company (Jordan), Salam Bounian Real Estate Company (Qatar) and DMM Investment Holding Ltd (Algeria).

Mr. Ghanem began his investment banking career at UBS Warburg (currently UBS Investment Bank) in New York, U.S., where he served as a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. In mid 2003, Mr. Ghanem returned to the Middle East to join Jordan Investment Trust PLC (Jordinvest) as a senior vice president and head of the corporate finance department.

Mr. Ghanem is currently a member of the Arab Bankers Association of North America (ABANA), a board member of Insurance Commission (Jordan), and a member of the Executive Board (Finance and Investments) of Palestine Development & Investment Company (PADICO).

Mr. Ghanem received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University (MA, U.S.) and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University (NY, U.S.).
