Mrs. Lina M. Annab
General Manager - Zara Investment Holding Company

Lina Annab is the general manager of Zara Investment Company (Holding). Zara is the eighth largest publicly listed company in Jordan in terms of capital paid and the largest in the service sector. Zara employs an estimated 7% and 33% of the total labor force in the tourism sector and 5-star hotels in Jordan respectively.

Lina joined Zara in 2002. She is member of the board of directors of the owning companies of the Grand Hyatt Amman as well as the five owning companies of the Mövenpick hotel properties in Jordan. In May 2009, Lina was appointed by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities as member of the Tourism Competitiveness Team with the task of updating the National Tourism Strategy for the coming five years.

In addition, Lina represents the private sector on three of Jordan’s national councils, namely the “Economic and Social Council”, the “Employment-Technical Vocational and Education Training Council (E-TVET Council)”, and the National Tourism Council

During the past 14 years, Lina held various positions at Citibank, Johnson & Johnson, and the International Monetary Fund. Her working career covers product management, research, marketing, and finance. Throughout her career she has worked in the USA, Europe, and various countries within the Middle East.

Lina holds a Masters of Arts degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She is also a graduate in Political Economy and Foreign Languages and Literature. She is multilingual and speaks five languages.
