H.E. Mr. Munir Nassar

Munir Nassar, born in Bethlehem in 1943, is a Jordanian travel and
tourism expert with over 46 years of experience in the industry. He is
the managing director and owner of the oldest travel company in Jordan,
a family-owned business that he joined in 1963. During his time with the
Group, he was the first to introduce the Kingdom as an incentive
destination in the main European markets, and is recognized for his
capabilities in devising innovative tour products that appeal to a
plethora of markets (including the award winning Zaman concept).
Munir Nassar has served in many capacities in the Tourism and other
sectors. He headed the Marketing Pillar of the National Tourism Strategy
Workgroup in 2004, and was elected Vice-Chairman of the Jordan Tourism
Board at its inception. He is currently the Chairman of JETT (the
largest tourist transport company in Jordan) and the Jabal Ajloun
Development Corp., a government-owned company entrusted with developing
large tracts of prime real estate in the North of the country. He also
serves as Board member of Jordan Hotels and Tourism Co. (owners of the
Jordan Intercontinental Hotel) as well as the French Chamber of Commerce
in Jordan. Mr. Nassar joined the government of Prime Minister Dr. Marouf
Bakhit as Minister of Tourism & Antiquities (2005-2006).
