H.E. Dr. Umayya Toukan
Governor - Central Bank of Jordan
Dr. Toukan held several leading positions including Economic Advisor to
the Prime Minister of Jordan, Head of the Economic Research Department
at the Central Bank of Jordan, and CEO of the Stock Exchange in Jordan.
Internationally Dr. Toukan held a variety of positions including Senior
Economist at the Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi, Jordan representative
at the United Nations in New York (Economic and Financial Committee) and
Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of the
Netherlands, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and
the European Union.

Dr. Toukan completed his doctoral studies at Columbia University in the
City of New York in the area of monetary economics (Money and Financial
Markets).
