Mr. Saleh Kilani
Chief Commissioner - Development Zones Commission
Mr. Saleh Kilani is an investment specialist with academic and
professional experience in the field of public administration
and management.
Kilani was appointed in the last quarter of 2008 as Chief
Commissioner of the Development Zones Commission; Kilani is
heavily engaged in articulating the framework that regulates the
establishment and management of the Development Zones in Jordan,
aiming at enhancing the economic capability of the Kingdom,
attracting investments and creating an advanced and sustainable
investment environment for economic activities.
Prior to that, Kilani served as the Commissioner for Investment
and Economic Development at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone
Authority (ASEZA), Kilani has extensive experience in enterprise
registration and permitting and issuing needed enterprise
operational licenses. He is heavily exposed to the rules and
regulations, zoning and planning through daily interaction with
businesses and investors. Throughout his work, he has gained the
experience in developing work strategies, standard operational
procedures, managing people and delegating work. Mr. Kilani has
been directly involved in investment targeting and promotion
plans. His daily interaction with local and foreign investors
has nurtured his investment promotion experience and has
developed his knowledge of the Jordanian public and private
sector.
Kilani’s other position previously held at both public and
private sectors, added to his knowledge and experience in
administration, management and development. Kilani holds a
masters degree in business administration from New Hampshire
College, USA and a bachelor degree with double major in
Political Sciences and International Administration from New
England College, New Hampshire, USA.
